{EOP}Pakistan Army Colonel saves his men from drowning, gets martyred himself

Three Frontier Works Organisation workers were trapped in the spill way of Atta'abad Lake when they were digging the way.

The workers were trapped in a place where water flow was so fast and all efforts of their rescue failed.
Colonel Arif, the commanding officer of Frontier Works Organisation, decided to set himself in the water to save his men.
Tying a rope around his waist, the Colonel went into the water to pull the stranded men out but he could not hold himself against the thrashing water flow as the water swept him away.
The news of his martyrdom spread like a wildfire and people rushed to the site to take part in rescue work.

He is a proud son of the Pakistan Army who laid down his life in the line of duty and comradeship. He has set a brave example that will be a shining star for soldiers of the coming generations.
